THE PROPERTY
Set on the shores of Lough Derg, close to the village of Terryglass in County Tipperary, the Walled Garden Cottage is tucked away in a private part of a much bigger estate. As the name would imply, it is surrounded by a stunning mature 150 year old walled garden which is just bursting with a wonderful array of plants, shrubs and flowers.
There are two bedrooms. Each has a king (USA Queen) sized bed and is ensuite. One with a shower and the other with a bath and shower over it. There is an additional fold out single bed in the office space which would be idea for a teen. Due to the furnishings and the lakeside setting, this house really is not suitable for children under the age of 12. As this home is all on the one level, it may be suitable for assisted wheelchair users.
Enjoy the outdoors in the outdoor dining area with BBQ or relax by the private jetty. There is a private tavern on the estate that you are also welcome to enjoy during your stay – a quirky unique space for an aperitif or indeed to enjoy a drink or two after dinner.
The living room is cosy and welcoming with a wood burning stove, TV and Bluetooth speaker.
The cottage style kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need during your stay including crockery, cutlery, glassware and cookware along with a 5 ring range with 3 ovens, fridge and another fridge freezer in the pantry, a dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a large rustic dining table to seat up to 8 people at its centre.
The separate utility room is home to the washing machine and tumble dryer.
There are two tennis courts on the estate which the owners are more than happy for you to use during your stay.

Just over an hour from Galway city
Terryglass is a 15 minute drive
Portumna is a 20 minute drive away
Shannon Airport is approximately an hour and a half away and Dublin Airport is 2 hours away.
