A great location for families, the Orchard Residences are located on the grounds of the fabulous Castlemartyr Resort. Guests may use the Hotel facilities including swimming pool. 3 hours from Dublin or 30 minutes from Cork City. The Orchard Residences can accommodate a maximum of 4.
Located just a 2 minute drive from the Hotel are the Orchard Residences. These wooden clad properties are bright and modern and ideal for a family, golfers or a group of friends. The whole area is grassed so there is lots of space for children to play freely while under the watchful eye of their parents. Each Residence has parking outside the front door and to the rear, there is a table and chairs to sit out and enjoy your surroundings.
These are 2 bedroom properties and can accommodate up to 4. The entrance hall has lots of storage space for coats and wellies and shoes and there is a downstairs toilet.
The main living area is open plan with a kitchen and dining area as well as a large sitting room area. The kitchen is really well equipped with cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. The only thing it doesn’t have is a tumble dryer but there is a clothes horse in the little store room in the kitchen which also houses the iron and ironing board.
On arrival there will be a welcome pack for you which includes, teabags, lovely coffee for the plunger, bread, butter, marmalade, cheese slices and some milk – ideal if you arrive late in the evening to keep you going until morning! There is also washing up liquid, cleaning sponge, dishwasher tablets and a t-towel provided.
The dining table is large and comfortable and can seat up to 6 people.
These are warm and cosy Residences and wifi is available throughout. Please note though that mobile phone coverage is not good so you may wish to inform family or work that it may be better to contact you using another application like Whatsapp or Viber during your stay.
The sitting room has two large couches, a TV and a couple of leather floor cushions so there is lots of space for everyone. Each Residence has both a cot and a highchair for your use – please bring along your own cot linen and blankets.
The two bedrooms are upstairs. They are both ensuite and can be made up as either one large double bed or two single (twin) beds.
There are TVs in each of the bedrooms. One of the ensuites has a shower over the bath and the other has just a shower. There are heated towel rails and limited toiletries, including soap and toilet roll, are supplied.
There is plenty of storage space in each of the bedrooms for your luggage and clothes.
A towel for use at the pool is provided for each guest. You need to bring this back from the pool to re-use during your stay. Additional towels may be provided at the pool for a small charge.

Orchard Residence Facilities:
Free Wi-Fi, Flat screen television, music system, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, central heating, coffee maker & washing machine. Cot and highchair are available on request.
Arrival Information:
The arrival time is 4pm. When you arrive the heating and hot water will beon. Your welcome hamper will include a number of items such as fresh milk, tea-bags, coffee, bread, cheese and other condiments. Perishable goods will be left in the fridge.
Each guest will receive bath and hand towels, a spa towel as well as toiletries.
Departure Information
We would be grateful if you could observe the departure time of 10.00am.

Childcare equipment
Travel cots and high chairs are available on request for our younger guests. We advise parents to bring their own cot sheets.
Pets at Castlemartyr
The Orchard Residences at Castlemartyr welcome pets on request. There is a €20 euro charge per night per pet. Please ensure you mention your intention to bring along your pet(s) at time of booking.
THE RESORT
Castlemartyr Resort has so much to offer within walking distance of the Orchard Residences. All is elegantly presented and there is a great mix of style and comfort. Gourmet cuisine is available and is of the highest quality being prepared from local, farm fresh produce. You can spend hours relaxing at the Spa and Health Club which includes a swimming pool, nail salon, sauna, steam rooms, yoga studio, 9 private treatment rooms and a jet pool. If you’re feeling more energetic then you can head outside into the estate’s grounds where you can try your hand at golf and croquet.
Laser clay pigeon shooting and archery are available, must be pre-booked and at an extra charge.
HOTEL FACILITIES
Swimming Pool
Children are welcome to use our heated indoor swimming pool at certain times.
Every day from 10am to 12 noon and 3pm to 6pm.
We ask that children are always accompanied with adult supervision at all times when swimming.
Please note swimming hats are required. They can be purchased at the Health Club reception for €3.
The Spa at Castlemartyr
The Spa at Castlemartyr includes 8 private treatment rooms and 2 couple suites, the Beauty Rooms offering hair, nail and beauty treatments, fitness centre including a yoga and fitness studio, ozone treated pool, jet pool, spacious wet treatment areas with separate sauna and steam rooms. Pre-booking is essential.
Children in the Spa:
For health and safety reasons the minimum age for young people to use other areas of the spa, including jet pool, gym, saunas and steam room is 17 years.

GOLF
Castlemartyr Golf Club is the creation of renowned golf course designer Ron Kirby whose credentials were honed on such Irish masterpieces as Dromoland Castle, The Old Head in Kinsale and Gleneagles in Scotland. In Castlemartyr Golf Resort, Ron Kirby has developed an inland links that creates a visually pleasing yet challenging experience.
The resident PGA professional is available for golf tuition which can be arranged through the Pro Shop. Lessons can either be taken individually or as a group.
