Upon opening the French doors into the apartment, the soothing soft whites and touches of grey and green in the elegant furniture and furnishings reassure you that you this is definitely one of Kenmare's best kept secrets!
Choose to sit outside on the terrace or in the living room on one of the large, sumptuous sofas and enjoy the evening sunshine after a day touring the famous Ring of Kerry, Ring of Beara or just wandering around the town. Amble through to the perfectly equipped kitchen where everything you might need is in place, including a Nespresso machine, and all is tastefully designed and furnished in Irish country style. The lovely round dining table situated alongside the restored sash windows offers the ideal perch from which to watch the comings and goings of everyone on Henry Street below.
The upstairs floor offers a choice of two double bedrooms, both en suite and beautifully furnished with chateau French furniture and gloriously white Egyptian cotton bed linen and touches. The master bedroom to the front of the apartment offers views over the street, which is in a quiet part of the town and the second bedroom looks over the terrace to the back of the property. Both en suites offer a power shower, hand basin and toilet with striking grey and white tile patterns, toiletries on offer are from the well known Irish producer, The Homemade Soap Company.
Although each property is equipped with all modern comforts, the superb location of these apartments, in the heart of Kenmare town, means visitors have a fantastic choice of cafes, bistros, boutiques and restaurants all only a few steps away. Choose from Packies restaurant, renowned for its fish dishes, Jam deli and café with its selection of breads, soups and sandwiches, freshly made French pastries and coffee in Maison Gourmet and the Purple Heather, the long standing café offering a taste of vintage Kenmare. Once you have arrived at the Shrubbery Mews apartments, you can walk to every amenity which this Heritage town has to offer and forget about the stresses of city living.
Both apartments enjoy the same footprint in that they have the same room layout and configuration and the same facilities. Both are accessed by the same private entrance with parking for one vehicle for each apartment. The entrance is secure and well lit, with stone steps leading up to the garden terrace. Shrubbery Mews 2 has an outdoor dining area which is private and has a trellis with planting and flowers all around. Access to the apartment is through the terrace.
Naturally there is complimentary wifi in place across the two properties and a self service laundry facility is also available on site.
