Tonnes of space and very quiet location

"Very pleased with our stay at Ormonds View. A great property with tonnes of space and very quiet location. Short drive into Kenmare was useful for shops, and lots to do within a 30-60 mins drive. Fantastic communication from the team- made it super easy for us with any questions."

An excellent base for exploring Beara, Mizen peninsulas and some of the Kerry Loop

"We stayed here for 8 nights and used it as an excellent base for exploring Beara, Mizen peninsulas and some of the Kerry Loop. The home is newer, spacious and well appointed. Very close to the ocean with Kenmare and its restaurants, pubs and shops nearby (Kenmare stout quickly became a favorite OVER traditional Guinness and Beamish, btw). The only slight critique we had would be around the comfort of the beds. That tends to be pretty individual specific and we did well on sleep so take it as you will. Kitchen seems to have everything you'd need including a nice big island to work off of. We took advantage of the washer and dryer once or twice. Ormonds View is in a great location, has plenty of room, a good view, and a large garden/lawn. We had a fantastic stay using it as our base and the communications and info provided were spot on. One item of note for US travelers - using Irish locks - you need to raise the handle up to while you turn the key to lock and unlock. A bit different than most North American locks. Having done Kerry, Dingle and other points in Ireland in the past I'll add we loved seeing what Beara and Mizen had to offer which was great ocean sites (cliffs, beaches, islands to visit by ferry, boat excursions (we enjoyed Bull Rock), hikes, waterfalls, etc, etc, etc). Wonderful part of the world and the great country of Ireland. And any trip to Ireland is incomplete without pubs big and small and the music being made in them!"
