A new location providing holiday stays in the river-side town of Carrick-on-Shannon, open to guests for the first time in 2024.Rowing Club House is quite the architectural surprise, nestled into a quiet corner of the town’s scenic waterfront.
Located just off Bridge Street, one of the town’s main thoroughfares, and opposite the Carrick-on-Shannon rowing club, Rowing Club House is close to all amenities. Once you are here, you can walk to all pubs, clubs, cafés, restaurants, shops and cultural sites that Carrick-on-Shannon has to offer.
The house has been specially designed to accommodate large family or friend groups and is a striking addition to the townscape. It has been laid in such a way as to make the very most of the views along the Shannon with views that are a real treat for the visitor.
The kitchen and living area/private patio and balcony are located on the first floor and provide the perfect vantage point for boat-watching along the river, or indeed a spot from where you can watch the world go by below you, as you take it easy on your weekend away or holiday break.
The house sleeps 20 people comfortably! With twin, double and triple occupancy, there is plenty of space for large family or friend groups. Bed linen, including goose and down duvets and pillows, as well as towels for all visitors, are all provided. The fully fitted kitchen has all you need to cook up a storm of a dinner or have the obligatory Sunday morning fry-up, with a large dining table that is perfect for meals together and board game nights.
If you are visiting with young children and want to venture out in the evening, babysitting services are available and can be arranged in advance. Just let us know and we will help you out. You won’t want to miss out on all that Carrick has to offer in terms of nightlife. From traditional music sessions, to night clubs, ethnic restaurants, bakeries and cafés, you won’t be stuck for a place to go, to relax over dinner or a drink.

The Rowing Club House consists of the following:
• Five bedrooms house to sleep up to 15-20 people. Two bedrooms have a double and single bed, two bedrooms have two doubles or four single beds in them, and one studio bedroom contains six single beds
• Five bathrooms with showers in each
• Car parking directly in front of your accommodation.
• Traditional Irish Music literally on your doorstep
• The award winning Oarsman gastro bar and restaurant is right outside your front door
• A really spacious open plan living/dining room filled with natural light and large windows directly overlooking the River Shannon
• Large private and secure patio are with bench and picnic seating and covered with two large umbrellas
• Open plan, fully fitted kitchen features an oven/hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and all the necessary kitchen utensils and crockery.
• Bed linen and towels are provided with goose and down duvets and pillows.
• Smart TV with access to Netflix/Prime/Disney with own log ins

Location
The Rowing Club House is situated right in the middle of town on the river Shannon with most spectacular views of the marina and river. With restaurants and bars, shops and nightlife all on hand, yet still only a short drive from the beach in Strandhill in Sligo.
Indeed, being within an easy walk of the town’s many friendly and lively pubs means no problems with having a sociable drink in the evening; a plus factor that makes for the most relaxed of stays. For most holidaymakers, this convenience is a considerable recommendation when choosing where to stay.

Pets Welcome:
Pets are welcome on request and we have two large dog cages available for use during your stay. We would kindly request that pets be kept downstairs and away from the bedrooms. An additional charge of €50 euro per pet per stay will apply. This is payable onsite to the owner Philip on arrival.
