Extraordinary stay in a very special place

"We traveled from the US with 2 families of 4, children range in ages from 6 to 13. House easily could have fit another family of 4. I did a ton of research on houses and locations, and can't say enough about how perfect this home is for traveling in southern Ireland. Pictures don't come close to doing pristine house and views justice. House has 3 very distinct living spaces that can be closed off, perfect for the adults and children to relax in peace! Every night the adults would gather in the outside sitting room with a drink to watch the sun go down and listen to music, surrounded by near 360 degree views of dingle bay, mountains and castle. Kids were in their own TV room with DVDs and games. Kitchen/living room area closes off to rest of house, too, for early risers who want to have a cup of tea and do some laundry. House is right in the quiet town of Glenbeigh (Catholic church, grocery store and pubs 2 minute walk) and a very short drive to the slightly larger Killorglin with butcher, wine, cheese, restaurants. Beaches, mountains, golf and quaint towns are literally out your front door, but the house itself feels like a destination and we loved every minute we spent in it. Owner Eileen was so lovely, everything was spotlessly clean. We cooked dinner in the well appointed kitchen many nights. Take a right outside the driveway for a 12 mile loop of the Kerry Way called circuit of Seefin, with breathtaking ocean, mountain and lake views - easy enough for the 6 year old. Castle in the back was a great adventure for the kids, and the back yard is closed in so that kids can safely play outside. I am picky, have unreasonably high expectations and I don't give out 5 stars readily. This house exceeded all of our expectations. We are already planning our return."
